About

Hey there, I’m Stacey  and this is Staceology, a mix of stories, memories, and lessons gathered from a pretty crazy life.

The name “Stacey” means “of the resurrection” and I grew into that meaning over the years, as we all tend to do. I’ve been through some stuff, and I’m still here. Beyond surviving, but rebuilding, creating, and laughing through the ashes.

On this site is I share some of that journey, the ups, the downs, (not just my weight!) a few recipes, my photography journey, and everything in between.

I’m a writer, photographer, and Christian woman rooted deeply in my Lutheran faith.

I went back to school later in life and graduated from UCCS in 2022. I’ve written songs, plays, and books, taught ballet and worship dance, and had a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it modeling career. Luckily for everyone’s eyes, I found my home BEHIND the lens.

I was born in Minnesota and lived in Colorado and California. Drop me in a rowboat on a quiet Minnesota lake with my guitar and I’m exactly where I belong.

I have four wonderful daughters and a small tribe of grandkids. My girls are all better cooks than I am, which I’m proud of, although I did once win a chili cook-off with meat I smoked in an indoor smoker. I returned to work with hair smelling like a campfire, which hilariously confused everyone in the office as to where the smoke smell was coming from.

More than anything, I love encouraging others to find their passion and creativity, whether through cooking, writing, painting, dancing, or whatever lights them up inside. There’s beauty in creating , even in life’s messiest moments.
