Vanilla

The great thing about this recipe is that you can customize it however you like. Different flavored beans produce different flavors, plus if you have any spare rum or vodka, you can throw it in. I have even added vanilla extract when it's on sale. Let the first batch sit for at least 3 months before you use it, and never let it get below half full before adding more alcohol (or you'll need to let it rest again.)

Ingredients

  • 4 vanilla beans any type
  • 8 oz 80 proof vodka can also use Bourbon, rum, gin

Instructions

  1. Put all together in a bottle with a stopper.

  2. Let rest for 3 months in a cool, dark place.

  3. Refill as needed.
