Happy 25th Anniversary, Don and Karen!

Today I had the express privilege of shooting the anniversary of some good friends.

Don and Karen celebrated 25 years today, and it was a pretty great party. A nummy dinner, sherbet punch, and LOTS of cake. I sampled every kind I saw come out of the kitchen (although I think my sister was secretly stealing bites!)

The celebration was held the church I grew up in. As I walked through the halls I could just “feel” the years pass through me…. being 5 years old and sipping orange Hi-C out of Dixie riddle cups after the early service…or being age 8 and making ornate objects from plaster of paris in VBS…. being age 14 and “finally” getting to play Mary during the Christmas pageant.

I could just feel the days gone by.. sitting next to my grandpa on the church pew as he would try and quietly open up a Starlight mint….rows of home-baked pies sitting on the church steps waiting to be sold at the ice cream socials…holding my friends hands as we played Red Rover on the church lawn.

Wonderful memories and friends that will last a lifetime.

Don and Karen, Happy 25th anniversary.
