This may be my favorite of Grandma Barker’s recipes. It is tender, delicate and when made with a tart apple like a Granny Smith or Haralson, it is a perfect combination. It begs for cinnamon ice cream on top.
Ingredients
Place 6 medium-sized cut up apples in a buttered 11x7 baking dish
Mix together until dough is formed:
1cupflour
½cupsugar
1tspbaking powder
1egg
¾tspsalt
1/3cupmelted butter
dash cinnamon
dash nutmeg
Instructions
Toss dough evenly over apples.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
Serve warm with cream. (or like I do, with ice-cream and caramel sauce!)
