Chowmein Hotdish
This recipe is from my Grandma Barker, and is a classic "Minnesota Hot Dish." I loved the way her house smelled when this was baking in the oven. It tasted even better!
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef browned
- 2 cups onion chopped
- 2 cups celery chopped
- 2 cups hot water
- 1 cup rice uncooked
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 bag chow mein noodles
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°

Layer all ingredients (except noodles) in a 9x13 pan.

Cover pan and bake for 1 hour.

Add chow mein noodles and bake uncovered an additional 15 minutes.
