Oven Barbecued Pork Chops

This was one of my favorites as I grew up, as the delicious BBQ smell would fill our little house as it baked in the oven. We didn't eat a lot of barbecued things in the winter, since we lived in Minnesota, and this was a nice surprise.


  • 3 lbs pork chops or country ribs
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 small onions chopped
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. Brown meat at 400° in a 9x13 pan.

  2. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over meat.

  3. At 300°, bake covered for 2-3 hours until meat is tender.
