Cherry Wine

This Cherry wine recipe is from Aunt Bea. When assembling this cookbook, I teased her a little about how much homemade wine was available at the farm, so asked if she had any recipes for me. Yes, she did! Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2 gallons hot water
  • 1 gallon Cherries raw and crushed
  • sugar

Instructions

  1.  Let stand for 48 hours. Strain.

  2. Add 4 lbs. of sugar per 1 gallon juice.

  3. Let stand until it quits “working”, then bottle.
