Beer Cheese Soup

I love this more than anyone I know. Maybe it's the dairy girl in me? This warm, comforting cheesy soup is underrated, in my opinion. I love the creamy goodness with salted popcorn floating on top. -Stacey


  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 ¼ cup chicken broth
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp white pepper
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2- 1 can beer add to desired thickness
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded


  1. In a medium saucepan, melt butter and add flour. Heat until bubbly, stirring constantly. Add milk and broth, stir til smooth.
  2. Add remaining ingredients, except cheese. Heat until simmering. Remove from heat and add cheese. Stir until the cheese melts and is smooth. Garnish with popcorn or crushed pretzels.
