Jerry's Walleye
Ingredients
- fresh Walleye
- wheat flour
- salt and pepper to taste
- Crisco

Clean fish, cut into small pieces and rinse thoroughly, pat dry...

In a plastic bag, put a cup or so whole wheat flour, and salt and pepper, depending on how many fish. Shake it up.

Add the fish fillet pieces and shake until covered with flour mixture.

Fry in a hot cast iron pan with about 1/2 to 1 inch of Crisco shortening.

Fry until golden brown.

Next to Dad’s margarita’s, the walleye is probably his next requested recipe. But Dad is and has always been such a great fisherman that this has been a treat for our family every summer. I miss being a little kid, and having this being a fairly frequent dinner, or even enjoying the fish lakeside with my cousins.
