Creamy Cucumbers

I love this recipe! Creamy cucumbers are a refreshing side dish to any meal, from juicy grilled burgers to campfire hotdogs. Okay, that was not much of a stretch, but frankly they are good company any place, any time. Even though I have them listed in the Summer section (because of the availability of garden and farmer’s market cucumbers) they are AMAZING on the Thanksgiving table. I love dunking the turkey into them! Delicious! My Grandma used Half-and-Half instead of the Sour Cream. I started using Greek Yogurt which is also really delectable. For a nice vegetable dip, cold soup or salad dressing, toss in a blender.


  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp vinegar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp dill weed
  • 2 Tbsp minced onion
  • 2 peeled and thinly sliced cucumbers


  1. Combine and chill.
