Kentucky Bucket Wings
I love chicken wings, and whenever I go on a low carb kick, they are my go-to food. The other day I had a hankering for some KFC, but minus the MSG. I looked online for some copycat recipes, tinkered a little bit, and came up with this lovely buttermilk chicken wing recipe. The white pepper seems to be the secret, so, add to your heart's content!
Ingredients
- 3 lbs chicken wings
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup paprika
- 3 tbsp white pepper
- 2 tbsp garlic salt
- 1 tbsp celery salt
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp dry mustard
- 1 tbsp ginger
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp basil
- 1 tsp thyme
Instructions

Let chicken marinate in remaining ingredients for at least an hour (overnight is even better!)

Preheat oven to 400°

Place wings on a well oiled sheet pan.

Let bake for 40 minutes to an hour, flipping halfway through.
